Planning a Film

10 questions a round · Filmmaking

The planning jobs, documents and money that get a film ready to shoot.

About this quiz

A lot happens before anyone shouts “Action!” This quiz covers the jobs, documents and meetings that get a film ready to shoot, and how the money is found, from pitches and pre-sales to crowdfunding and completion bonds.

Good to know: A common rule of thumb says one page of a screenplay equals about one minute of screen time, so a 100-page script makes a film of roughly 100 minutes.
